 Jiangsu
institute of metrology was founded in October 1956 on the 11th.
After 50 years of construction, It has developed into a
organization which own a national-level supervision and test
center, five provincial test center for the measurement
technology institutions.
Our institute is set up in accordance with the law of statutory
Verification agencies,a organization which can measure
instruments, supervise and inspect computer product quality ,
analysis computer systems. The main task is responsible for the
reunification of the province's metrolory standard ,work to
establish baseline measurement, social common measurement
standards, transfer, implementation of measurement apparatus
mandatory testing tasks; The new apparatus to measure the type
of product evaluation missions; Bear measurement apparatus
product quality supervision, inspection and import measures
apparatus test tasks; bear Computer Products Quality Supervision
and Inspection tasks; bear Computer systems engineering
detection tasks; commitment to national and provincial
scientific and technological achievements of identification
tasks; Trace to meet social demands, deal in the calibration and
measurement equipment testing services.
Now, our institute has build 186 category of benchmarks and
measurement of social utility measurement standards which
include length, thermal, mechanical, electromagnetic, radio,
time frequency, optical, physical chemistry, acoustics, ionizing
radiation, within these the highest standards of measurement
have 88 category. It carries out 338 kinds of projects, 277
species of calibration projects, 67 projects , the four kinds of
new product type measuring apparatus evaluation projects,that is
national managed.Besides, state-level scientific and
technological achievements have 13 species, identification of
the provincial science and technology achievements have 140
species.
It passed statutory assessment of the National Quality and
Technical Supervision (AQSIQ)in 1997, one of the first group
passed the National Calibration Laboratory Accreditation (CNAL)
in 1998, It have become the detection agencies of the financial
trade settlement products Mandatory Certification commission (CCC
)which is authorized by China National Certification and
Accreditation Regulatory Commission in 2003.
Now our institute have 223 workers, inchuding 125 employees who
are undergraduate or higher (of which 20 persons are
post-graduate, one is a doctor), accounting for 56%; Senior
Engineer, 89 engineers, 50%; Housing area has 12,000 square
meters, of which 9,000 quare meters of the laboratory, 1750
square meters of constant temperature room area. Equipment is
3,600 million in actual value of fixed assets, and establish a
group of more advanced level of standards for measurement.
To adapt to the rapid development of Jiangsu rapid detection
market demand, and strengthen the ability of agencies contend
with abroad. For the past five years, It continued to increase
equipment investment, has invested nearly 20 million yuan, used
to buy 330 sets of equipment . Electromagnetic rooms, mechanical
rooms, medical equipment testing room, laboratory products,
superscript gas laboratory, humidity laboratories, computer
rooms, and a group of laboratories have been built in our
institute, and developed the unique advantages of the project.
Our institute seeks to the effective development, concerns about
the work of hot Measurement and Management, effectively
performed supervisory duties. In recent years, our institute has
set up a "measure of Jiangsu Province and the quality
supervision and inspection center", "Jiangsu Provincial quality
and technology supervision Highway Truck Scale Dynamic
Verification Station", "Jiangsu Provincial quality and technical
supervision of medical devices Measurement Test Center",
"Jiangsu Provincial quality and technical supervision of special
gas product quality inspection stations "and cooperation with
the Provincial Public Security Bureau ,and carry out road
traffic enforcement measures mandatory testing apparatus work.
Both upgrade services in local economic construction capacity,
but also for their own career development opportunity won. It
have made due contributions in Quality supervision and
administrative enforcement with technical support, maintaining
the market economic order ,and so on.
